Policing

The RM of Francis pays an annual requisition for policing with the following RCMP detachments responsible for the municipality:

• RCMP – Montmartre Detachment
• RCMP – Fillmore Detachment

* for non-emergent calls, please call 310-RCMP (7267) to be directed to the local policy agency

First Responders

The RM of Francis provides annual grants to the following communities whom have first responders to be able to respond in cases of emergency in the RM:

• Odessa
• Sedley
• Vibank

Fire

The Rural Municipality of Francis has fire protection agreements with the following volunteer fire departments for coverage in the rural municipality:

• Francis Volunteer Fire Department
• Odessa Volunteer Fire Department *houses and operates RM pumper truck
• Sedley Volunteer Fire Department *houses and operates RM quick response truck
• Vibank Volunteer Fire Department
