Meet the Council

Council’s responsibility is to make decisions about municipal services, establish policies and provide direction for the operation of the municipality in a manner which encourages participation in the governance process. Each member of Council when elected signs an Oath of Office and is accountable by Bylaw 2022-06 Council Procedures Bylaw and by Bylaw 2022-07 Code of Ethics Bylaw.

Council meets regularly once per month and is comprised of the Reeve and six councillors who represent six divisions of the municipality.  If you wish to attend a meeting as a delegate, please fill out and return the Delegation Form to the RM office no later than one week prior to the regular scheduled Council meeting by 4pm.

Meeting Information 

• Council meetings are scheduled for the 2^nd Thursday of each month commencing at 9am but the date or time may change when other time commitments conflict
• Council meetings are open to- the public and held in the RM Council Chambers unless otherwise posted/notified
• As per 13.6 of the Council Procedures Bylaw  – all administrative reports communication from the public, requests, or any other material intended for inclusion in a council agenda must be received by the administrator no later than 1 week before the council meeting.
•  Delegations Request Form submitted to the administrator after the agenda deadline may not be heard by council
